Frequently Asked Questions
If you can't find the answer you're looking for, please contact me.
What can I expect from our work together?
Therapy moves at your pace. You choose what to explore, how much detail to share, and how deep you’d like to go. It’s natural for this work to feel uncomfortable at times—that’s often where healing and growth begin.

How do I know if I will benefit from psychotherapy?
If you’re curious about understanding yourself more deeply—your thoughts, emotions, and patterns—psychotherapy can offer a supportive space for that exploration.

How often do I need to book in?
The frequency of therapy is entirely up to you. Together, we’ll consider your goals, availability, and financial comfort to find a rhythm that feels supportive. This can always be adjusted over time as your needs evolve, and we’ll talk about it in your first session.

Is everything confidential?
Yes. As a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, I maintain strict confidentiality. The only exceptions are situations where there is concern for your safety or someone else’s, or if I become aware of abuse or neglect involving a child or vulnerable person.

Are your services covered by insurance benefits?
Many insurance companies and employers offer reimbursement for psychotherapy services. Please contact your insurance provider directly to ask whether services provided by a Registered Psychotherapist are covered by your plan.

What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This policy helps maintain consistency in your therapeutic work and respects the time we’ve reserved for you. We recognize that life can be unpredictable and will always consider exceptional circumstances.
What methods of payment do you accept?
Payment can be made through credit card over my partnered online booking system, Jane, or through e-transfer to groundandflowtherapy@gmail.com. I provide receipts that my clients provide to their insurance companies for reimbursement.
